Welcome to my online store

My handmade leather watch straps are made in parallel widths and are generally between 3mm – 5mm thick. Every aspect of the manufacture of a Toshi Strap is undertaken by hand using traditional techniques – the result is a watch strap that I fully expect will give you good service for many years to come.

Every strap is hand stitched using a 4-ply waxed linen thread, and there are 20 colours of thread available to choose from when you order a strap.

Although I am first and foremost a strap maker I carry a number of items associated with watch straps in stock, so if you have come here looking for a buckle or a spring bar tool I can help too. Click on one of the categories below to see what’s available, and if you see something you like you can click on it for more detailed information. You can also check out my gallery for some inspiration.

I aim to have your strap built and shipped within 5 weeks of receiving your order and payment. This lead time will vary depending on how busy I am when you place your order, but I will always give you a firm dispatch date when I confirm your order.

  • Nero

    From £100.00
Nero is actually black Horween Derby. i.e. it is the same leather, but during the tanning process it has been dyed black. It is a full grain, fully vegetable tanned steer hide from Horween of Chicago. Treated with waxes and oils during the tanning process it makes a beautiful strap. If you want a black leather with some character this comes highly recommended. The strap photographed for this page was stitched with butterscotch thread, but being black it will go with any stitch colour. Straps produced with Nero leather will be approx 5mm thick and are priced as follows: £100 with a free spring bar buckle £105 with a sewn in buckle £110 with a screw bar buckle
  • Shell cordovan is a very rare and special leather and makes a beautiful watch strap. It is a horse hide, tanned by hand over a 6 month period, and offered here in black which looks fabulous with grey thread. • Horween Derby

    From £100.00
Horween Derby is one of my personal favourites. It is a full grain, veg tanned steer hide with a lovely soft feel from the Chicago based tannery. Treated with waxes and oils during the tanning process it makes a wonderful strap - take my word for it. Highly recommended! The strap photographed for this page was stitched with natural thread, and I personally think this is the only way to go with this one. Straps produced with Horween Derby leather will be approx 5mm thick and are priced as follows: £100 with a free spring bar buckle £105 with a sewn in buckle £110 with a screw bar buckle
  • Out of stock
Screwdriver in stainless steel for Panerai Luminor. This screwdriver has a 1.6mm cutout end similar to that of the OEM screwdriver that comes with the Luminor watches, and is made for Luminor screw bars. Please note - although this screwdriver is not designed for bracelet screws, if you plan on using this screwdriver to remove screws from a bracelet, please be mindful that often manufacturers use a thread lock glue when putting bracelets together. It is therefore always wise to warm the bracelet screw before un-screwing to loosen the bond (I would suggest using hot water or a hair dryer are the best ways to do this).
  • Horween Nut Brown

    From £120.00
This is a beautiful leather from the Horween tannery in Chicago. It is a fully vegetable tanned horse hide with a matte finish and bags of character. It's very soft and pliable from the start, and will develop a lovely patina with some wear. If you are looking for something special with a vintage feel then this fits the bill perfectly. It really doesn't get better than this. The strap shown is made with dark brown stitching, but grey, emerald green, butterscotch and of course natural thread works well too. Straps produced with Horween Nut Brown leather will be approx 5mm thick and are priced as follows: £120 with a free spring bar buckle £125 with a sewn in buckle £130 with a screw bar buckle
  • Nautilus

    From £90.00
I've been looking for a black leather with a flat matt finish for the last couple of years, and finally I've found one. This is a pure veg tanned cow hide with a fine grain and a clean matt appearance. The strap photographed for this page was stitched with grey thread, but it also looks perfect with black stitching for a really stealthy look (being black of course it will go with any colour thread, but grey or black is my preference with this leather). Straps produced with Nautilus leather will be approx 4.5mm thick and are priced as follows: £90 with a free spring bar buckle £95 with a sewn in buckle £100 with a screw bar buckle
  • African Kudu

    From £120.00
This is something a bit different. Kudu are wild antelopes that live on the plains of Africa. They are very hardy animals, living through both the tough arid seasons as well as the lush rainy seasons and these hides show every scar related to life in one of the wildest part of the world. This means your strap will be unique - the markings ensure that no two African Kudu straps will look the same. This African Kudu leather is very soft, and is left un-dyed to retain the natural look of the leather, scars and all. If you're looking for something very rustic but extremely comfortable then this is one for you. As is the case with all the kudu leather I use, the skins are the result of the seasonal kudu cull mandated by the South African government. The strap photographed for this page was stitched with natural thread, but butterscotch & light brown stitching will work well with this leather too. Straps produced with African Kudu leather will be approx 4.5mm thick and are priced as follows: £120 with a free spring bar buckle £125 with a sewn in buckle £130 with a screw bar buckle
  • Typhoon

    From £90.00
Typhoon is a very dark navy blue vegetable tanned leather with a flat, matt finish and a slight pull-up. It has a tight grain and wears very well. • Vintage Stag

    From £120.00
This is a very special vintage leather that I came across recently. It’s a pure veg tanned deer hide that was produced a small independent tannery in the UK in the mid 1970′s. There is only a small amount of this leather so there is a limited number of straps available. Vintage Stag is a warm rich tan colour full grain leather that is beautifully soft and pliable. In my opinion it works best with natural stitching (as shown). Straps produced with Vintage Stag leather will be approx 4mm thick and are priced as follows: £120 with a free spring bar buckle £125 with a sewn in buckle £130 with a screw bar buckle
  • Aegir

    From £120.00
Aegir is a leather I get very excited about. It is a midweight ox leather that is tanned in a traditional vegetable tanning process that takes many months before being dyed a lovely dark reddish brown colour. Aegir is very soft and pliable with a fabulous grain and makes a wonderful watch strap. Without a doubt it is one of the most interesting leathers I've ever worked with. Straps produced with Heavy Horse leather will be approx 4.5mm thick and are priced as follows: £100 with a free spring bar buckle £105 with a sewn in buckle £110 with a screw bar buckle
  • Dakota

    From £100.00
This is something very special. A rich vegetable tanned top grade calf leather that has been tanned using only traditional tanning methods. It is a lovely matte brown colour, soft as butter and makes a truly stunning strap. In my opinion Dakota with dark brown stitching (as shown) can’t be beaten, but it looks good with grey stitching too. Straps produced with Dakota leather will be approx 3.5mm thick and are priced as follows: £100 with a free spring bar buckle £105 with a sewn in buckle £110 with a screw bar buckle

  • Lime

    From £90.00
Lime is a very soft steer hide with a silky touch and in a great colour – perfect if you want a casual look. It’s one of my personal favourites and it looks amazing on a big watch. My preference is to combine it with olive drab stitching as in the photos below, but it works well with natural and grey stitching too. Straps produced with Lime leather will be approx 4mm thick and are priced as follows: £90 with a free spring bar buckle £95 with a sewn in buckle £100 with a screw bar buckle

  • Honey

    From £90.00
I’ve been looking for a replacement for the saddle leather since it ran out and I think I’ve found something even better. Honey leather is a golden coloured veg tanned horse hide. It is beautifully soft and pliable with a gorgeous texture and builds a lovely patina. I favour natural stitching with this one, but it also looks great with grey thread. Straps produced with Honey leather will be approx 3mm thick and are priced as follows: £90 with a free spring bar buckle £95 with a sewn in buckle £100 with a screw bar buckle
  • Stone

    From £85.00
This is something a little bit different. A heavily grained brownish grey calf hide which is very soft and pliable. Perfect with grey thread, or a strong colour for some contrast. Straps produced with Stone leather will be approx 4mm thick and are priced as follows: £85 with a free spring bar buckle £90 with a sewn in buckle £95 with a screw bar buckle
  • This is a 1.4mm stainless steel screwdriver with a standard tip, perfect for Panerai Radiomir watches.

  • Bruiser

    From £120.00

  • This is a fabulous leather produced from African kudu skins in a stunning deep, rich brown colour. If you are looking for a strap with character then this is one for you! Shamen is a very soft, full grain kudu leather that is just perfect for a watch strap. Kudu live in dense brush or forest in the African Savanna, one of the harshest environments on earth, and are prey to preditors such as leopards and hyenas. The kudu skins used to produce this leather exibit all the scars and marks of the animals hard life, as a result no two kudu leather straps will look the same, ensuring your strap will be unique. I have been lucky enough to buy a small amount of this leather and I am making it available as a "limited edition". As a result, each Shamen strap will come with a signed letter from me stating the date your strap was made and giving it a production number. As is the case with all the kudu leather I use, the skins are the result of the seasonal kudu cull mandated by the South African government. The strap photographed for this page was stitched with light brown thread. Dark brown and black thread look great too, as does any strong colour, so red, emerald green and royal blue would work well. Straps produced with Shamen leather will be approx 4mm thick and are priced as follows: £120 with a free spring bar buckle £125 with a sewn in buckle £130 with a screw bar buckle
  • Vintage Black

    From £120.00
Vintage Black is something a bit special and highly recommended. Made from young ox hides, the British tannery that produces Vintage Black uses a pit tanning process that takes 14 months to produce the finished leather. Three types of tree bark are used in the process, before the leather is dressed with dubbin and birch oil. This attention to detail results in a truly unique and luxurious black leather that wears well and smells wonderful. The strap photographed for this page was stitched with black thread which I personally prefer, but Vintage Black can be dressed with any of the stitching colours I have avalable to accent details on your watch. Straps produced with Vintage Black leather will be approx 5mm thick and are priced as follows: £120 with a free spring bar buckle £125 with a sewn in buckle £130 with a screw bar buckle
  • Dark Kudu

    From £120.00
Available again, Dark Kudu was a hugely popular leather that I ran out of in 2019. It proved very difficult to find more and for a while I thought it would never be available again, but I've been able to source another couple of skins of this wonderful leather. Dark Kudu is a soft, pliable leather with bags of character. This leather is darker than the African Kudu leather I also use, as it has had a brown dye applied during the tanning process. Kudu live in dense brush or forest in the African savanna, one of the harshest environments on earth, and are prey to preditors such as leopards and hyenas. The kudu skins used to produce this leather exibit all the scars and marks of the animals hard life. Being a full grain leather, any scars on the animals skin will be visable, although as the product is natural no two pieces of leather are the same and so the scarring will be more visable on some straps than others. This means that no two kudu leather straps will look the same, ensuring your strap will be unique. As is the case with all the kudu leather I use, the skins are the result of the seasonal kudu cull mandated by the South African government. The strap photographed for this page was stitched with natural thread, but butterscotch & light brown stitching will work well with this leather too. Straps produced with Dark Kudu leather will be approx 5mm thick and are priced as follows: £120 with a free spring bar buckle £125 with a sewn in buckle £130 with a screw bar buckle
  • Vanilla

    From £85.00
Vanilla is a pliable calf leather with a fine grain and a lovely soft feel. There is a sheen to the leather that really works well if you want something less casual, and works beautifully with white or natural stitching. • Antique Green

    From £120.00
Antique Green is a fully vegetable tanned leather that I think is just wonderful. Produced by a small tannery in northern Europe, this leather goes through a lengthy tanning process incorporating natural oils and animal fats before being dyed a deep olive green. The finished product makes a watch strap that is supple from the first wear and will build patina over time. If you are considering a green strap I recommend this whole heartedly - it has bags of character. The strap photographed for this page was stitched with natural thread, but emerald green thread will give it a low contrast stitch, and black stitching works very well with this leather too. Straps produced with Antique Green leather will be approx 4mm thick and are priced as follows: £120 with a free spring bar buckle £125 with a sewn in buckle £130 with a screw bar buckle
  • A Pre-V style buckle with screw bar attachment. Made of high quality stainless steel with a brushed finish. Available in widths of 22mm, 24mm & 26mm.
  • Jaffa

    From £85.00
Jaffa is a bright orange Italian calf hide which is guaranteed to get you noticed. It has a very fine grain and makes a lovely comfortable strap. • Shooting Brake

    From £130.00
Shooting Brake is a leather that was actually commissioned by one of the UK's oldest motoring manufacturers for the upholstery of one of their luxury saloons. The tannery produced more than was ordered and so I managed to buy a little of what was left. It is fully veg tanned calf and is unbelievably soft and supple. If you want something buttery soft then this is for you. It has a pronounced grain, a slight pull up and a lovely matte dark brown finish. A classic dark brown strap. The strap photographed for this page was stitched with dark brown thread, but light brown, natural and grey all look good too. Straps produced with Shooting Brake leather will be approx 3.5mm thick and are priced as follows: £130 with a free spring bar buckle £135 with a sewn in buckle £140 with a screw bar buckle
  • Mushroom

    From £90.00
Mushroom is a very soft brown analine leather with a cross hatch texture. I adore this leather, and prefer it with light brown stitching, but you might want something less low key and go with natural, emerald green, olive drab or even royal blue stitching. It goes so well with just about anything. Straps produced with Mushroom leather will be approx 4mm thick and are priced as follows: £90 with a free spring bar buckle £95 with a sewn in buckle £100 with a screw bar buckle

  • These bar pins are designed for Panerai Luminor models that use the quick release bar system, and not for watches where the strap is attached using screw bars or spring bars. Each pack contains two bar pins.   Currently available for watches with 22mm or 24mm lugs
  • Horween Essex

    From £100.00
Essex is another leather from the Chicago based tannery, Horween. It's a pure vegetable tanned cow leather that is beautifully soft, and is produced using the same traditional tanning extracts as Horween's Genuine Shell Cordovan. This has already become one of my personal favourites and ages beautifully. Horween Essex works beautifully with natural stitching on any black dialled watch. The strap photographed for this page is stitched with natural linen thread - which in my humble opinion is the best option as it shows the leather off beautifully. Straps produced with Horween Essex leather will be approx 4.5mm thick and are priced as follows: £100 with a free spring bar buckle £105 with a sewn in buckle £110 with a screw bar buckle
  • Burgundy

    From £85.00

Straps produced with Oceanic leather will be approx 3.5mm thick and are priced as follows: £100 with a free spring bar buckle £105 with a sewn in buckle £110 with a screw bar buckle
  • Crimson
