Welcome to my online store

My handmade leather watch straps are made in parallel widths and are generally between 3mm – 5mm thick. Every aspect of the manufacture of a Toshi Strap is undertaken by hand using traditional techniques – the result is a watch strap that I fully expect will give you good service for many years to come.

Every strap is hand stitched using a 4-ply waxed linen thread, and there are 20 colours of thread available to choose from when you order a strap.

Although I am first and foremost a strap maker I carry a number of items associated with watch straps in stock, so if you have come here looking for a buckle or a spring bar tool I can help too. Click on one of the categories below to see what’s available, and if you see something you like you can click on it for more detailed information. You can also check out my gallery for some inspiration.

I aim to have your strap built and shipped within 5 weeks of receiving your order and payment. This lead time will vary depending on how busy I am when you place your order, but I will always give you a firm dispatch date when I confirm your order.

  • This is a 1.4mm stainless steel screwdriver with a standard tip, perfect for Panerai Radiomir watches.
  • This is a 1.6mm stainless steel screwdriver with a standard tip.
  • Out of stock
Screwdriver in stainless steel for Panerai Luminor. This screwdriver has a 1.6mm cutout end similar to that of the OEM screwdriver that comes with the Luminor watches, and is made for Luminor screw bars. Please note - although this screwdriver is not designed for bracelet screws, if you plan on using this screwdriver to remove screws from a bracelet, please be mindful that often manufacturers use a thread lock glue when putting bracelets together. It is therefore always wise to warm the bracelet screw before un-screwing to loosen the bond (I would suggest using hot water or a hair dryer are the best ways to do this).
  • Aegir

    From £120.00
Aegir is a leather I get very excited about. It is a midweight ox leather that is tanned in a traditional vegetable tanning process that takes many months before being dyed a lovely dark reddish brown colour. Aegir is very soft and pliable with a fabulous grain and makes a wonderful watch strap. Without a doubt it is one of the most interesting leathers I've ever worked with. The strap shown is made with dark brown stitching and I think that is best with this one, but natural, grey, butterscotch & emerald green works well too. Straps produced with Aegir leather will be approx 4mm thick and are priced as follows: £120 with a free spring bar buckle £125 with a sewn in buckle £130 with a screw bar buckle
  • African Kudu

    From £120.00
This is something a bit different. Kudu are wild antelopes that live on the plains of Africa. They are very hardy animals, living through both the tough arid seasons as well as the lush rainy seasons and these hides show every scar related to life in one of the wildest part of the world. This means your strap will be unique - the markings ensure that no two African Kudu straps will look the same. This African Kudu leather is very soft, and is left un-dyed to retain the natural look of the leather, scars and all. If you're looking for something very rustic but extremely comfortable then this is one for you. As is the case with all the kudu leather I use, the skins are the result of the seasonal kudu cull mandated by the South African government. The strap photographed for this page was stitched with natural thread, but butterscotch & light brown stitching will work well with this leather too. Straps produced with African Kudu leather will be approx 4.5mm thick and are priced as follows: £120 with a free spring bar buckle £125 with a sewn in buckle £130 with a screw bar buckle
  • Anthracite is an oiled goat skin leather, fully vegetable tanned and given an antiqued finish in the tanning process. Sister leather to Heidrun, it's wonderfully soft and characterful in grey with black highlights. I only have a small amount of this leather so I'm listing it as a "limited edition". As a result, each Anthracite strap will come with a signed letter from me stating the date your strap was made and giving it a production number. The strap photographed for this page was stitched with grey thread for a low contrast look. This is my favourite thread colour for this leather, but natural and pale blue thread look great with it too. To see the options for thread colour see the stitching colours page. Straps produced with Anthracite leather will be approx 3.5mm thick and are priced as follows: £120 with a free spring bar buckle £125 with a sewn in buckle £130 with a screw bar buckle
  • Antique Green

    From £120.00
Antique Green is a fully vegetable tanned leather that I think is just wonderful. Produced by a small tannery in northern Europe, this leather goes through a lengthy tanning process incorporating natural oils and animal fats before being dyed a deep olive green. The finished product makes a watch strap that is supple from the first wear and will build patina over time. If you are considering a green strap I recommend this whole heartedly - it has bags of character. The strap photographed for this page was stitched with natural thread, but emerald green thread will give it a low contrast stitch, and black stitching works very well with this leather too. Straps produced with Antique Green leather will be approx 4mm thick and are priced as follows: £120 with a free spring bar buckle £125 with a sewn in buckle £130 with a screw bar buckle
  • Aqua

    From £90.00
Aqua is an oiled, aniline leather with a matt finish and a very slight pull-up. It has been produced by one of the foremost tanneries in Italy for over 50 years - I just had to have some when I found it was available. The strap photographed for this page was stitched with teal thread, but grey, natural, royal blue and butterscotch work well with it, too. Straps produced with Aqua leather will be approx 4.5mm thick and are priced as follows: £90 with a free spring bar buckle £95 with a sewn in buckle £100 with a screw bar buckle
  • Arancio

    From £90.00
Arancio is a lovely dark orange calf leather. This leather is very soft with a lovely sheen and full grain texture. It looks great with natural stitching (as shown), or go with grey or black for something a bit different. Straps produced with Arancio leather will be approx 3.5mm thick and are priced as follows: £90 with a free spring bar buckle £95 with a sewn in buckle £100 with a screw bar buckle
  • Arctic

    From £85.00
Arctic is a full grain buffalo calf leather in white. Fully vegetable tanned and lovely and soft, it makes a lovely strap. The strap photographed for this page was stitched with white thread, which I personally think is the only way to go with this leather. Straps produced with Arctic leather will be approx 4mm thick and are priced as follows: £85 with a free spring bar buckle £90 with a sewn in buckle £95 with a screw bar buckle
  • Autumn Leaf

    From £90.00
Autumn Leaf is a limited edition leather that I was lucky enough to get hold of. It is a vegetable tanned bovine top grain leather in a beautiful auburn colour that just looks so good as a watch strap. If you want something in a traditional reddish brown colour that will age well then this is the one for you. The strap photographed for this page was stitched with light brown thread, but grey or natural stitching also works well. Straps produced with Autumn Leaf leather will be approx 3.5mm thick and are priced as follows: £90 with a free spring bar buckle £95 with a sewn in buckle £100 with a screw bar buckle
  • Bacchus

    From £90.00
Bacchus leather is something I found quite by chance, and I love it. It's a light weight Italian calf with a soft blush, and is comfortable right from first wear. The strap photographed for this page was stitched with light brown thread, but it will work equally well with natural, dark brown and grey too. Straps produced with Bacchus leather will be approx 3.5mm thick and are priced as follows: £90 with a free spring bar buckle £95 with a sewn in buckle £100 with a screw bar buckle
  • Badlands

    From £90.00
Badlands is a vegetable tanned steer hide with a rugged, antiqued finish. It's a very pliable leather and comfortable to wear from the start. The strap photographed for this page was stitched with butterscotch thread, but natural, grey & light brown stitching works very well too. Straps produced with Badlands leather will be approx 3.5mm thick and are priced as follows: £90 with a free spring bar buckle £95 with a sewn in buckle £100 with a screw bar buckle
  • These bar pins are designed for Panerai Luminor models that use the quick release bar system, and not for watches where the strap is attached using screw bars or spring bars. Each pack contains two bar pins.   Currently available for watches with 22mm or 24mm lugs
  • Shell cordovan is a very rare and special leather and makes a beautiful watch strap. It is a horse hide, tanned by hand over a 6 month period, and offered here in black which looks fabulous with grey thread. Please note – all the shell cordovan leather I use comes from the Horween tannery in the USA Straps produced with Black Shell Cordovan leather will be approx 4mm thick and are priced as follows: £130 with a free spring bar buckle £135 with a sewn in buckle £140 with a screw bar buckle
  • Bramble

    From £100.00
Bramble is a heavy weight, full grain kudu leather with a more classic, semi-gloss appearance than the other kudu leathers I use. It is beautifully soft and pliable from the start and makes a very comfortable watch strap. Kudu live in dense brush or forest in the African savanna, one of the harshest environments on earth, and are prey to preditors such as leopards and hyenas. The kudu skins used to produce this leather exibit all the scars and marks of the animals hard life. Being a full grain leather, any scars on the animals skin will be visable, although as the product is natural no two pieces of leather are the same and so the scarring will be more visable on some straps than others. This means that no two kudu leather straps will look the same, ensuring your strap will be unique. As is the case with all the kudu leather I use, the skins are the result of the seasonal kudu cull mandated by the South African government. The Bramble strap photographed for this page was stitched with grey thread, but natural, black and light brown threads all look good with this leather. Straps produced with Bramble leather will be approx 4.5mm thick and are priced as follows: £100 with a free spring bar buckle £105 with a sewn in buckle £110 with a screw bar buckle
  • Bruiser

    From £120.00
I'm often asked for vintage leathers - well, this isn't vintage but it looks like it should be. A modern veg tanned leather with bags of character, Buiser is very soft and comfortable with a patina that from new will look as though you’ve had it for years! The strap shown is made with natural stitching and I think that is best with this one, but grey thread works too. Straps produced with Bruiser leather will be approx 4.5mm thick and are priced as follows: £120 with a free spring bar buckle £125 with a sewn in buckle £130 with a screw bar buckle
  • Brutal

    From £100.00
Brutal is a luxurious dark brown tobacco coloured bovine leather produced by a tannery in Tuscany, Italy. It is a fully vegetable tanned leather, produced using tanning techniques centuries old. The hides are tanned in a wooden drum using tree bark, oils and animal fats, before being dyed and polished with a roll of amber stone. This is a beautiful leather for a watch strap that will build patina as it ages. The strap photographed for this page was stitched using grey linen thread, but light brown, dark brown, natural and butterscotch stitching also work very well. Straps produced with Brutal leather will be approx 4mm thick and are priced as follows: £100 with a free spring bar buckle £105 with a sewn in buckle £110 with a screw bar buckle
  • Bubble Gum

    From £90.00
Bubble gum is a thick nubuck leather strap. Soft and supple, it is another leather available in limited quantity and something a bit different. It looks great on a big watch, with either natural, denim, grey, lavender or black thread. Certainly not for the feint hearted, but sure to get noticed. Straps produced with Bubble Gum leather will be approx 4.5mm thick and are priced as follows: £90 with a free spring bar buckle £95 with a sewn in buckle £100 with a screw bar buckle
  • Burgundy

    From £85.00
This is a very soft and pliable leather that needs no breaking in. It looks great with either denim or grey stitching, but would work with most stitch colours. Straps produced with Burgundy leather will be approx 4.5mm thick and are priced as follows: £85 with a free spring bar buckle £90 with a sewn in buckle £95 with a screw bar buckle
  • Shell cordovan is a very rare and special leather and makes a beautiful watch strap. It is a horse hide, tanned by hand over a 6 month period, and offered here in the traditional dark burgundy colour (known as Horween # 8) which looks fabulous with grey thread. Please note – all the shell cordovan leather I use comes from the Horween tannery in the USA Straps produced with Burgundy Shell Cordovan leather will be approx 4mm thick and are priced as follows: £130 with a free spring bar buckle £135 with a sewn in buckle £140 with a screw bar buckle
  • Burnt Sienna

    From £100.00
Burnt Sienna is a traditional dark reddish brown coloured leather, fully vegetable tanned and hand finished. It is a very soft, pliable leather with a lovely texture and a antiqued glaze. It has a classic appearance and is a little thinner than many of the leathers I use for my straps but still tough enough for a large watch. The strap photographed for this page was stitched with natural thread, but dark brown and grey threads all look good too. Straps produced with Burnt Sienna leather will be approx 3.5mm thick and are priced as follows: £100 with a free spring bar buckle £105 with a sewn in buckle £110 with a screw bar buckle
  • Candy

    From £120.00
Candy leather is something a little different, and one that will get noticed. It's a full veg tanned Italian leather in a soft blush colour with a matt finish. It's a soft & pliable leather, so makes a watch strap that's comfortable from the start. If you're bored of the usual brown and black straps then this could be the one for you. The strap shown is made with natural stitching. Now I don't want to preach, but this is the right choice of thread for this leather. Of course you can have a Candy strap stitched with any of the 20 thread colours I have in stock, but natural looks the best IMO. To see the options for thread colour see the stitching colours page. Straps produced with Candy leather will be approx 4.5mm thick and are priced as follows: £120 with a free spring bar buckle £125 with a sewn in buckle £130 with a screw bar buckle
  • Cherry Bomb

    From £100.00
Cherry Bomb is one of the thinner leathers that I use (a Cherry Bomb strap will come out at just 2mm thick), but don't be fooled, it is a very strong leather and will hold up to serious wear. It's a high shine cherry colour with a crackled glaze. The strap photographed for this page was stitched with natural thread. To see the options for thread colour see the stitching colours page. Straps produced with Cherry Bomb leather will be approx 2mm thick and are priced as follows: £100 with a free spring bar buckle £105 with a sewn in buckle £110 with a screw bar buckle
  • Chestnut

    From £90.00
Chestnut is a lovely warm brown aniline dyed calf leather with a full grain and brilliant sheen. This leather is very soft and is comfortable from the start. • Cognac

    From £130.00
Cognac is something rather special. It is a shell cordovan leather produced by Chicago based tannery Horween, but unlike most shell cordovan they produce this has been given a hatch grain imprint. I managed to secure a small quantity of this leather in their classic "number 8" colour (a rich reddish brown / burgundy), and it makes a fabulous watch strap. Please note – all the shell cordovan leather I use comes from the Horween tannery in the USA Straps produced with Cognac leather will be approx 4mm thick and are priced as follows: £130 with a free spring bar buckle £135 with a sewn in buckle £140 with a screw bar buckle

  • Dakota

    From £100.00
This is something very special. A rich vegetable tanned top grade calf leather that has been tanned using only traditional tanning methods. It is a lovely matte brown colour, soft as butter and makes a truly stunning strap. In my opinion Dakota with dark brown stitching (as shown) can’t be beaten, but it looks good with grey stitching too. Straps produced with Dakota leather will be approx 3.5mm thick and are priced as follows: £100 with a free spring bar buckle £105 with a sewn in buckle £110 with a screw bar buckle
  • Dark Chocolate

    From £100.00
Dark Chocolate is a fabulously soft and pliable pure vegetable tanned leather in a luxurious dark brown colour. It has a vintage look due to the pronounced natural grain and matt finish. It is without a doubt one of the softest leathers I use, and makes a wonderful watch strap. It's almost good enough to eat! Straps produced with Dark Chocolate leather will be approx 3.5mm thick and are priced as follows: £100 with a free spring bar buckle £105 with a sewn in buckle £110 with a screw bar buckle
  • Dark Kudu

    From £120.00
Available again, Dark Kudu was a hugely popular leather that I ran out of in 2019. It proved very difficult to find more and for a while I thought it would never be available again, but I've been able to source another couple of skins of this wonderful leather. Dark Kudu is a soft, pliable leather with bags of character. This leather is darker than the African Kudu leather I also use, as it has had a brown dye applied during the tanning process. The strap photographed for this page was stitched with natural thread, but butterscotch & light brown stitching will work well with this leather too. Straps produced with Dark Kudu leather will be approx 5mm thick and are priced as follows: £120 with a free spring bar buckle £125 with a sewn in buckle £130 with a screw bar buckle
  • Denim

    From £85.00
When I first saw this leather I knew what I'd call it because it reminds me so much of a faded pair of denim jeans. It's a veg tanned calf leather - very soft and supple with a matte finish. The strap photographed for this page was stitched with butterscotch thread, but if you want something different then grey, natural and olive drab will work too. Straps produced with Denim leather will be approx 3.5mm thick and are priced as follows: £85 with a free spring bar buckle £90 with a sewn in buckle £95 with a screw bar buckle
  • This kudu leather is from a short run produced by a UK based tannery. It has been dyed a beautiful light brown / sand colour. It is a pliable, full grain leather with bags of character, and I personally love it! I have been lucky enough to buy a small amount of this leather and I am making it available as a "limited edition". As a result, each Desert Kudu strap will come with a signed letter from me stating the date your strap was made and giving it a production number. Kudu are antelope that live in dense brush or forest in the African Savanna, one of the harshest environments on earth, and are prey to preditors such as leopards and hyenas. The kudu skins used to produce this leather exibit some scars and marks from the animals hard life. As a result no two kudu leather straps will look the same, ensuring your strap will be unique. As is the case with all the kudu leather I use, the skins are the result of the seasonal kudu cull mandated by the South African government. The strap photographed for this page was stitched with natural thread. Light brown and butterscotch thread look great too. To see the options for thread colour see the stitching colours page. Straps produced with Desert Kudu leather will be approx 4mm thick and are priced as follows: £120 with a free spring bar buckle £125 with a sewn in buckle £130 with a screw bar buckle

Emerald is a wonderfully soft vegetable tanned calf leather – fully analine and full grain. It's a rich matte green in colour, and is already one of my all-time favourite leathers. It has a tight grain pattern and a flat, matt finish with a very slight pull-up. It's a beautiful yellow colour that works perfectly with a black dial watch. I love this leather, and for me it looks best with either natural (as shown in the photos on this page) or white stitching. Straps produced with Giallo leather will be approx 4.5mm thick and are priced as follows: £90 with a free spring bar buckle £95 with a sewn in buckle £100 with a screw bar buckle
  • Ginger

    From £120.00
Ginger is a stunning leather with an antiqued finish and a stunning pull-up. It is a strong and robust leather that makes a fabulous watch strap. If you are looking for something a little different from the norm, and want a leather with a distressed finish, then this is the one for you! The strap shown is made with natural stitching, which I think is perfect with this leather. To see the options for thread colour see the stitching colours page.
