Nero is actually black Horween Derby. i.e. it is the same leather, but during the tanning process it has been dyed black. It is a full grain, fully vegetable tanned steer hide from Horween of Chicago. Treated with waxes and oils during the tanning process it makes a beautiful strap. If you want a black leather with some character this comes highly recommended.
The strap photographed for this page was stitched with butterscotch thread, but being black it will go with any stitch colour.
