Hirvi is something a little bit special. It’s an elk leather, from animals that roamed the Arctic Circle. The skins were tanned in Finland before being dyed a muted shade of green, and then oiled. The leather is wonderfully soft and pliable, with a fabulous distressed texture. A truly stunning leather.

The strap photographed for this page was stitched with butterscotch thread, but natural, grey & olive drab stitching also go well with Hirvi. To see the options for thread colour see the stitching colours page.

Straps produced with Hirvi leather will be approx 4.25mm thick and are priced as follows:

£120 with a free spring bar buckle
£125 with a sewn in buckle
£130 with a screw bar buckle
