Brutal is a luxurious dark brown tobacco coloured bovine leather produced by a tannery in Tuscany, Italy. It is a fully vegetable tanned leather, produced using tanning techniques centuries old. The hides are tanned in a wooden drum using tree bark, oils and animal fats, before being dyed and polished with a roll of amber stone. This is a beautiful leather for a watch strap that will build patina as it ages.
The strap photographed for this page was stitched using grey linen thread, but light brown, dark brown, natural and butterscotch stitching also work very well. If you want to see the options for thread colour please see the stitching colours page.
