I wanted to give you a sneak preview of Sahara, another new leather that will be launched very soon. This is something that was only available in a very limited quantity, but as soon as I saw it I knew it would work so well with any watch with a steel case & black dial. Mounting it on my Panerai zero I know I made the right decision to take all the leather that was available. I can see that this will become one of my regular wearers, and I hope you like it as much as I do.

Sahara is a pure vegetable tanned full grain leather that was produced by a European tannery as a one-off for a “luxury clothing” brand. It’s very soft and pliable, but what I love about it most is the light sand colour and the subtle grain. Straps are coming out around 3.5mm thick, and it should be available this weekend. If you’ve been looking for a light coloured strap I can highly recommend this.

As you can imagine, I’m being asked when the new leathers will be available quite a lot at the moment. I promise I am working hard to get them ready for sale, but unfortunately it is not a quick process. There are eleven new leathers in total that I will launch as soon as they are ready – I’m hoping to have the first four or five live by the end of this weekend coming. Sahara will be one of the first to launch (as will Nero, a leather I mentioned in my blog a couple of weeks ago). If you follow me on Facebook you’ll see when they go live as I’ll post an update as soon as they are added to the store page.

Update – Sahara was launched on Saturday July 1st and is available here
