As the name suggests, this is a full-weight horse hide, and it has a beautiful structure. It is another leather from the Horween tannery – it's fully vegetable tanned & full grain. Heavy Horse is an oiled/waxed leather with a very light pull up in a gorgeous rich brown colour.
The strap photographed for this page was stitched with light brown thread, but grey, olive drab and butterscotch stitching will work well, too. To see the options for thread colour see the stitching colours page.
Straps produced with Heavy Horse leather will be approx 4.5mm thick.
