Aegir is a leather I get very excited about. It is a midweight ox leather that is tanned in a traditional vegetable tanning process that takes many months before being dyed a lovely dark reddish brown colour. Aegir is very soft and pliable with a fabulous grain and makes a wonderful watch strap. Without a doubt it is one of the most interesting leathers I’ve ever worked with.
The strap shown is made with dark brown stitching and I think that is best with this one, but natural, grey, butterscotch & emerald green works well too. If you want to see the options for thread colour please see the stitching colours page.
Straps produced with Aegir leather will be approx 4mm thick.
