I get asked a lot when I will be making jean belts again, and so recently I sourced some heavyweight leather with a limited run in mind. Those of you who have been asking for a belt (and you know who you are!) they are available to order now! There is only enough for a dozen or so belts however, and I’m keeping this one I made last weekend for myself, so be warned – when the leather is gone it’s gone. This is strictly a limited run and I don’t expect them to be available for long.
The belts will be 38mm wide which is just right for a pair of jeans. The leather I’m using is a black pure veg tanned bovine leather that’s perfect for belts and has a lovely matte finish. It’s hard wearing – stiff, strong and approximately 4mm thick, so should wear well. Because of the characteristics of the leather I’m using these bets are single layer with a fold to accomodate the buckle and sewn in leather keeper. You’ll notice there is no stitching – I decided because of the stresses the belt will go through rivets were a much better option to give the belt maximum strength.
How can I order one of these jean belts?
As always, your belt will be made to your specification. When you email me to place an order please let me know your waist size and I will punch the holes accordingly. It’s always a good idea to measure your waist size if you can, but there will be some adjustment so it’s not critical that you are spot on. There will be 7 holes punched 1″ apart in the belt, and I’ll make the 3rd hole at the measurement you give me (so using the belt photographed as an example, it was made for my 34″ waist and therefore hole 3 is punched at 34″, which means hole 1 is at 32″ and hole 7 is at 38″). The overall length of the belt will be based on your waist size as the end of the belt finishes 7″ after the holes.

Once I receive your email I’ll send you a PayPal invoice for payment, and once I have received your payment I will book your order. If you order within the next few days I anticipate being able to post your belt to you on December 3rd (I will of course confirm the posting date when I have received your payment), so it should arrive just in time for the holidays.
