I have a new apprentice! Last weekend was a big weekend for everyone at Toshi Straps HQ and I wanted to share our news by writing this blog post. So, without further ado, I would like to introduce you all to Poppy, our 10 week old German Shepherd puppy and the newest member of the Toshi Straps team. We collected her on Saturday morning and so far she seems to be settling in very well.
As some of you know, my wife and I moved from London to the south west almost three years ago now. We bought an old house in the country, and as is often the case with old houses there was a lot of work to be done when we moved in. The last three years has seen us spend most of our spare time (and money) restoring the house, but we’re now finally getting there. It’s not quite finished yet, but we are expecting to have more time over the next 12 months than we have had and so we felt now was the time to bring in another recruit. My wife has had German Shepherds in the past and so was keen to get another – Poppy is the result.
At the moment she is obviously too young to provide any meaningful service to the business (except that she makes me smile a lot), but I’ve created a new role so that (when she’s grown into her ears a little) she will feel that she’s contributing – Head of Security. For now, she’s spending most of her time sleeping and causing lots of mischief when she’s awake, but we’re all very happy to have her!
