Burgundy leather handmade watch strap. Hand stitched by Toshi Straps

This morning as I drank my morning coffee I started thinking about changing the strap on my Panerai 305. I have been wearing it on a Lemon strap for most of the summer, but now the weather is changing I wanted something different for the autumn. It didn’t take me long to decide on Burgundy leather, and so I went to work.

Burgundy is a leather I’ve been using for some time now, and it’s one I tend to recommend a lot because it makes such a great watch strap. It’s a thick leather, but incredibly soft and pliable in a lovely reddish brown colour. It’s produced by the Horween leather company in Chicago, and never fails with a black dialled watch. I decided to pair it with butterscotch stitching and a couple of hours later it was ready to mount.

So that’s me happy for the next few months. If you’re thinking of a new strap for your watch this autumn and you want something that will be uber comfortable from the first wear then I can highly recommend Burgundy leather. If butterscotch stitching is too much for you, then it works really well with black, grey or denim stitching too (you can check out all the thread colours I have available here).
