Panerai 24 on handmade Tobacco leather watch strap with butterscotch stitching

Tobacco leather is one of the cheaper leathers I stock but for some reason it often gets over-looked. It is quite a thick leather so it works best on a big watch. It’s perfect for a 44mm Panerai Luminor.

My 24 is a bit beaten up now and is one of the earlier production watches with a polished bezel and tritium dial. I absolutely love this watch, but the yellowing lume means it needs a “warm” tone strap to work well, and I’ve always found it tough finding a strap that I’m completely happy suits it.

As soon as I saw the new butterscotch thread I just knew it would work beautifully with the Tobacco leather, so first chance I got I wanted to get one built. I think it works perfectly.
