Over the years, the Gallery has become one of my web sites most popular pages.
Ever since I started making watch straps I’ve always enjoyed seeing the straps I’ve made fitted to the watches they were commissioned for, and every month I’m pleased to say I receive dozens of photographs. It’s not possible to feature all of them in the gallery unfortunately, but I regularly select some of the best and add them so that everyone else can see them too.
When I started to build this new website it was therefore essential to retain the Gallery page, but I wanted to improve it somehow. The new gallery doesn’t just show the images, it has an additional feature. It is now possible to filter the photographs for a specific leather, so if you are considering a Dakota strap for example, you can see all the images of Dakota leather together. This is something I was asked for many times with the old site, so hopefully this makes it even more useful.
It seems strange to think that when my first website went live in 2008 there were only about 20 photos in the Gallery – at that time it was simply designed to show examples of the quality of my work so people could see what they could expect if they ordered a strap from me. Today it contains well over 300 images, and I’ve been told many times that it’s very helpful when trying to decide which leather will look best.
Of course the gallery page wouldn’t be possible without the photographs that are sent to my by my customers, so thank you for continuing to send them in. I am very grateful.
Below are some of the images that were added in January. To see the complete Gallery click here.
