Giallo leather is produced by the same Italian tannery that produces both the Typhoon and Tempest leathers for me. Many of you will know just how impressed I’ve been with Typhoon and Tempest, and the feedback I’ve had from customers has been simply amazing with both, so when I was offered some of this delicious yellow calf leather I couldn’t say no. It is now available to order via the Giallo leather page in my web store, and it’s lovely.

Giallo is a fully veg tanned calf leather, produced in the same traditional tanning process as both Typhoon and Tempest, which results in a very soft leather with a matte finish and a very slight pull up. I made this strap to photograph for the store page a couple of weeks ago now, and have been wearing it on my 233 ever since. It’s a little unusual for me to wear the same watch / strap combination for such a long time, but this is just so perfect for summer.

It is beautifully soft and pliable, so there is no breaking in period to concern yourself with. It’s buttery soft from the start and being a top grain leather it will build a nice patina in time. If you are looking for something a little different from the usual black or brown straps, then I can highly recommend Giallo.

One more thing – if you order a Giallo strap between now and the end of this month and use the promotional code GIALLO at the checkout you will receive 15% discount off the normal price for your Giallo strap.
