Quarterback is another leather from the Horween tannery in Chicago, and is actually one of their oldest leathers. Anyone who watches American football may well recognise the pebbled texture – this leather has been used to make the official NFL footballs for the last 60 years, and I’ve decided to make watch straps with it! It’s one of the thicker leathers I use but very supple for a thick strap. I’ve chosen it in a lovely almond colour – I hope you like it.

The strap photographed for this page was stitched with natural thread which I personally think works best, but if you want something different then grey, pale blue and olive drab will work too.

Straps produced with Quarterback leather will be approx 5mm thick and are priced as follows:

£100 with a free spring bar buckle
£105 with a sewn in buckle
£110 with a screw bar buckle
