Horween Football is another leather from the Horween tannery in Chicago, and is actually one of their oldest leathers. Anyone who watches American football may well recognise the pebbled texture – this leather has been used to make the official NFL footballs for the last 60+ years, and I’ve decided to make watch straps with it! It’s one of the thicker leathers I use but very supple for a thick strap. I hope you like it.

The strap photographed for this page was stitched with natural thread which I personally think works best, but if you want something different then try rust for a low contrast look, or bright yellow if you want to stand out. To see the options for thread colour see the stitching colours page.

Straps produced with Horween Football leather will be approx 5mm thick and are priced as follows:

£100 with a free spring bar buckle
£105 with a sewn in buckle
£110 with a screw bar buckle
