Strap measurements

When you place an order for one of my straps I will build it to your specifications. To do so I will need to know the strap width and length you require. Hopefully this page will help you determine the correct size for your watch & wrist.

The strap width is obviously determined by the watch the strap is to be fitted to. If you are unsure what strap width you need for your watch please contact me before you order and let me know the make and model of your watch – I should be able to offer some advice.

The strap length is expressed like this – 130/80. In this example the strap is 130mm long at the tongue side, and 80mm long at the buckle side (this measurement is the strap only i.e. it does not include the buckle itself). The optimum strap length for you is determined by your wrist size, and as the strap is made to order I can make it any length you want, so if you have a large or a small wrist size I can make a strap that will fit you properly. Of course the perfect strap length is often a very personal choice as some people prefer long strap tails, while others hate too much “tail”, but for those of you who need my suggestions they are as follows based on wrist size:

6.0 – 6.5″ (150 – 164mm) wrist = 120/70
6.6 – 7.0″ (165 – 178mm) wrist = 125/75
7.1 – 7.5″ (179 – 190mm) wrist = 130/80
7.6 – 8.0″ (191 – 203mm) wrist = 135/80
8.1 – 8.5″ (204 – 216mm) wrist = 140/85
8.6 – 9.0″ (217 – 229mm) wrist = 145/90

When you place an order, if you want a length that is not shown above you can simply select “other” from the strap length drop down list and specify the specific length you want in the “order notes” field when you complete the checkout page. When I email you to confirm your order I will confirm this with you.

Please note – the sizes suggested above might be slightly longer than you are used to, but it’s worth remembering that because my straps are usually around 4mm thick they will wear slightly shorter than thinner straps.
